We are very different from your traditional childcare setting.  Woombye Childcare and Kindergarten is a small family business.  Being a small service we have two constant permanent educators :

Nicola Canty (Bachelor of Early Childhood, Masters of Education) has been the Centre Manager and registered Early Childhood Teacher since 2002, overseeing the Upper Kindy program; Shaani Buckley (Cert III, studying Bachelor of Teaching) is the Lower Kindy Lead Educator.  We work alongside qualified, experts in areas of outdoors and the arts who ruin sessions throughout the week including: 

Nicki from Wildings and Terre who run the Bush Kinda program; work with our artist in residence Shelley Tully running the arts program;  and gardening with our outdoor teacher Elizabeth Thompson; yoga/ meditation, sports with Sasa Mendoza our afternoon educator.

Over the past 29 years our Service has  built strong links with the wider community through active involvement with community groups, such as the WCBA, Bendigo bank, Blackall Street local businesses, Woombye bowls club, library, arts hall and community garden, as well as local schools: Woombye Primary and Chevallum Primary.  We collaborate with health, education and child development professionals and early intervention experts within the wider community to ensure best outcomes for children and families.  We host and support early childhood education students from Sunshine Coast University, Tafe and local high schools through their studies. Many local children and some of their children have been through our doors during the most important early years of their lives.
